Board of Directors - Board Minutes

Responsibilities of the Board of Directors

The Board represents the owners and residents of Stanford Townhomes Homeowners Association in all business dealings related to the running of the Community. The Board sets each year's budget, and approves expenditures for landscaping, utilities and maintenance for common areas, and business management services for the community. The Board also enforces the Conditions, Covenants, and Restrictions (CC&R) that govern appearance and other characteristics of the community.

The Board meets regularly to conduct business. Meetings are generally announced in the monthly assessment billings, however dates and times are subject to change - Refer to the Web site for upcoming meeting dates and times. The Board also hosts an annual meeting for the owners, at which important general decision-making and information is conducted. We encourage owners and residents to attend and participate by sharing ideas, comments or suggestions to the Board.

The Board does not itself handle the day-to-day business of the community, such as billing owners for assessments, paying bills, coordinating with landscapers and other contractors, and so on. For this, we have hired Willamette Community Management (WCM). WCM will usually be the first point of contact for owners and residents. For full details of what WCM does and how to contact them, visit the Community Management web page at:

Responsibilities of Owners

Under Oregon law, the Board of Directors is only empowered to manage the community upon being duly elected by a sufficient number of owners. Board members are elected at the (required) annual owners meeting. The responsibility falls to EVERY OWNER to either attend the annual meeting OR submit your PROXY ballot designating someone to vote in your behalf.
